Pattern for a traditional Smocked Bishop Dress with a selection of Angel, Smocked or Cuffed short or long Sleeve.
This pattern is designed using the traditional method of constructing a Bishop Style garment. It is based on the garment being measured and cut into five rectangles. The measurements are included in the instructions on a grid. The armholes are then cut, and the garment is partially constructed before pleating.
The fabric is then ready for pleating. Once smocked, construction is completed by sewing side seams, attaching neck bias, stitching the hem, making buttonholes and attaching buttons.
